📸 Google Maps just got a "Brain"
Plus: Claude gets a remote control, Photoshop goes 3D, and Sora plays catch-up.

My fellow AI explorers
Everyone is trying to build a version of OpenClaw, the autonomous personal assistan, that doesn’t require you to be a terminal-wizard to use. From Anthropic’s latest remote-control features to Google making Maps actually "know" you, the wall between "chatbot" and "operator" is crumbling.
In today’s edition:
🤖 The Agent Race: Anthropic’s Claude Co-work gets a remote control (and a pulse).
📍 Google Maps 2.0: Immersive navigation and personalized "brain" features.
🌀 30-Second AI Play: How to rotate 2D objects in 3D using Photoshop.

Agents
Anthropic is making a massive play to turn Claude into a legitimate co-worker rather than just a tab in your browser. While "OpenClaw" has been the talk of the dev world, it’s always been a bit clunky for the average user—until now.
Anthropic just dropped a feature called Dispatch, and it’s the missing link for AI agents.
Remote Control: You can now use your phone like a walkie-talkie to give Claude tasks on your desktop from anywhere.
Always-On: A new "Keep Computer Awake" toggle ensures your agent doesn't nap while it's supposed to be filing your taxes.
Secure File Access: You can now grant Claude specific access to folders (like Desktop or Downloads) without giving it the keys to your entire digital life.
This is the first version of an autonomous agent that feels consumer-ready. I tested it live by asking it to organize my messy desktop via my phone, and it didn't just suggest a plan—it actually moved the files. It’s polished, it’s fast, and it doesn’t require a separate Mac Mini to run.
đź”® Prediction: We are moving away from "prompting" and toward "delegating." The next six months will be defined by who can make these agents the most secure. If people are going to let AI move files and buy groceries, "trust" becomes a more valuable currency than "model parameters."

Gemini
Google Maps Gets a Brain (And Better Eyes)
Google is finally flexing its ecosystem muscle by baking Gemini directly into the apps we use to survive the real world—starting with Maps.
Google announced a series of "Ask Maps" features that transform navigation from a static blue line into a personalized assistant.
Immersive Navigation: AI-powered visualizations that show you exactly which lane to be in (finally ending the "wait, is it this exit?" anxiety).
Search Context: Maps will now use your Google search history to suggest restaurants and stops you’ll actually like.
India & US Rollout: The feature is currently hitting mobile devices in these two regions first.
The most impressive part isn't just the lane guidance; it's the memory. If you’ve been searching for "vegan cafes" on your laptop, Maps will prioritize those when you’re driving through a new city. It’s Google doing what Google does best: using your data to make your life 10% more convenient.
🌍 Takeaway: Google’s "moat" is our data. While OpenAI and Anthropic struggle to get "eyes" on the physical world, Google already has the map. Expect your "Personal AI" to live inside Google Maps long before it lives inside a dedicated hardware device.

AI Video
Sora vs. VEO: The Video Reference War
OpenAI is playing catch-up in the video space, releasing a "Reference" feature for Sora that allows users to maintain consistency across scenes.
It’s a "nice to have," but the early reviews are mixed.
Consistency Issues: Sora still struggle to keep objects perfectly stable compared to competitors.
Google VEO 3.1 Leads: Many creators are finding Google’s VEO model more reliable for "grounding" objects in a scene.
The Viral Moat: OpenAI has the brand awareness, but Google has the technical stability right now.
30-Second AI Play
🌀 Turn Any 2D Photo into a 3D Object—Inside Photoshop
Want to see the back of a cat or rotate a product shot without a reshoot? Photoshop’s new Rotate Object feature (currently in Beta) is straight-up black magic.
Here’s how to do it:
Open Photoshop Beta and import any image with a clear subject.
Click "Remove Background" in the contextual taskbar.
Select your object and click the new "Transform Image" button.
Select "Rotate Object" and wait for it to "prepare the rotatable object."
Use the 3D widget to spin your object on any axis.
🔍 Why it’s special: This isn't just a 2D warp. Photoshop is using AI to hallucinate the hidden sides of your object in 3D. While it’s not 100% perfect yet (my test cat ended up a little "flat" on the bottom), the Harmonize feature can then be used to fix the lighting so it fits perfectly into any new scene.
