Google’s “make me a deck” actually lands in Slides

Gemini shipped tighter slide-creation that exports directly to Google Slides. That means: prompt → deck → editable slides, no weird copy/paste purgatory.
What stood out in hands-on tests:

• Native export: one click into real Google Slides, fully editable.

• Visuals: playful layouts and image pulls with sources.

• Speed: slow-ish on first gen, acceptable for full decks.

Take: Claude (Sonnet 4.5) still writes the sharpest slide copy and structure; Gemini now wins on workflow. If you live in Google Workspace, Gemini’s “draft → export → tweak” loop is shockingly smooth.

Highlights from the new experience:
